Hi, I’m Rachel! I’m a writer and researcher exploring the intersections of digital culture, computing technologies, and social justice.

My current work examines the cultural history and social impacts of new technologies like artificial intelligence and machine learning systems. I’m currently a PhD student at Stanford University and Research Fellow and Project Lead for Climate, AI & Tech Justice at the Centre for Media, Technology and Democracy at McGill University. Before that, I was the research assistant with the Social Media Collective at Microsoft Research New England.

I have a joint B.A.&Sc. in Cognitive Science (Honours) and an MA in Communication Studies from McGill University.
